Troy Whyte, a junior at Lincoln (Missouri) representing Jamaica, won the men's 400-meter hurdles title in 49.79 seconds at the NCAA Division 2 Championships at Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl Stadium in Pueblo, Colo. Whyte also took third in the 110-meter hurdles final in a wind-aided 13.49 seconds, along with contributing to a runner-up finish in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:06.84 and a 12th-place effort in the 4x100-meter relay in 40.11.
